MBGF Wins at The Manhattan Film Fest!

The cast and crew of My Brother’s Girlfriend were ecstatic after hearing of their acceptance to the 9th annual 2015 Manhattan Film Festival! The film screened to an eager crowd on June 14th at The Players Theatre in Greenwich Village, New York City.

Following the screening of the film was a brief Q & A session featuring some of the film's cast and crew members. During this session, director Nicholas Marchese revealed some more exciting news. “Not only was I wrong the first time when I said, ‘we probably won’t get accepted to a festival’, I was wrong again because on Tuesday September 15th at 8:30pm, MBGF will be screening at The Anthology Film Archives for the NewFilmmakers NY Summer Festival”. Marchese added that there may be a few more screenings throughout the summer. All the information will be listed on the films website [www.MBGF-Movie.com].

Following the success of The Manhattan festival, Marchese was happy to receive and a call informing him that My Brother’s Girlfriend won the award for ‘Best Student Feature Film’. “I was extremely happy to have heard that we even got accepted to this festival, ask any filmmaker they’ll tell you that is the real prize, but now to have won an award--I am overjoyed”!
